About Team Malawi

The first trustee committee that met in the UK gave rise to the Malawi team. After coming back to their own country, Mr. and Mrs. Zidana joined forces with Mr. and Mrs. Maluwa to establish Shine Relief Malawi. With the addition of Mr. Lihoma in 2014 and Mrs. Helen Jones in 2012, the board has expanded over time. Mr. Dellings Phiri and Mr. Stephano Joseph joined the team in 2017 and 2018, respectively. In 2019, Mrs. Jones was replaced by Dr. Liveness Mwale.

From three full-time employees to five, the Shine staff team has expanded. Four more employees joined the team at the beginning of 2015. The crew expanded to include 18 people by 2018 to support Shine Village's further expansion.
